Welcome to Maricopa's first
mosque

44370 W. Arizona Avenue, Maricopa,
Arizona 85139
Thank you for visiting the Masjid
Bilal Ibn Rabah (MBIR) website.
Maricopa, AZ is a rapidly
growing city outside of the Phoenix
area. We are a very young community
with the vast majority of residents
having moved to Maricopa within the
last year or two. Our goal as is to
establish Islam in the community
through establishment of the daily
prayers, jumu'ah, daw'ah and the
establishment of a masjid, inshaa'
Allah. We have a weekly shura
meeting on Sunday's to vote on
community issues and events that we
will be doing. We welcome all
members of the community to attend
our events and to get involved.
On
July 2009, A handful of Muslims in
Maricopa and neighboring Casa Grande
City organize the first Friday
congregational services (Jumu’ah
prayers).
March 2010 Muslims purchase
property at 44370 W. Arizona Ave,
and establish Masjid Bilal ibn Rabah
at that location. The new building
provides a permanent main musullah
(prayer hall) and a private sisters’
musallah as well as a multipurpose
area.
Alhamdulillah, the Masjid is in full
operation since Ramadan 2011. MBIR
now has a full time Imam who leads
the daily prayers. Imam Basir Ali is an
Al-Azhar educated scholar and Hafiz.
Jumah khutbas are offered by the
Imam and other scholars in the
community.
